Alex Markoulis is a second year Music and Tech major. He is a member of the Stevens Choir, Jazz Band, Floctaves Acapella group, and SDS.
We are a tap dancing duo working together for years! We worked hard to create this tap piece to show off the art form’s roots in jazz music. We hope you enjoy the dance!
Derek Petti is a Junior Mechanical Engineering Major and Music & Technology Minor. He is a member of the Stevens Dramatic Society, and has enjoyed performing for as long as he can remember. He taught himself popping, locking, and animation dancing and he is excited to show his first original choreography.
Floctaves is the newest a cappella group on campus, founded in Fall 2017 by a group of freshmen who are now juniors. They met during performing arts pre-orientation and shared their love of music through small impromptu jam sessions, which later evolved into full-scale rehearsals. Since then, Floctaves has expanded to include more of Stevens's best singers, and has made a mark on campus with events like Valentine's Singing Grams, Cocoa-pella, and their yearly Spring Showcase.
Garrett is a sophomore Quantitative Finance major who has always had a passion for music. He is grateful to be able to continue to sing in college through Stevens A Capella and opportunities like this!
I am a freshman Music and Technology major. I play field hockey and I am a part of SDS. I love writing music and I hope to make it my career in the future!
Leahnie is a freshman majoring in Music & Technology. Along with doing musical theatre since the fourth grade she grew up watching her dad produce music as a hobby, and at the young age of ten she asked him to teach her. Since then, Leahnie has been producing and writing songs, and she is now just starting to perform them live. Leahnie would like to thank her family for always being supportive of her and her passion for music, as she would not be here today if not for that.
On the right, we have Brandon Costa. He can play the piano, ukulele, and drums. He can sing. He can, and will, eat black olives directly out of the can. He loves AJR. On the left, we have Matthew Zecca. He can play the guitar and violin. He can sing. He can, and will, eat kiwis whole. He loves AJR. Together they are Not Only Brandon Costa, But Also Matthew Zecca.
Having played violin from a young age, Matthew has always had a passion for music. Inspired by the lush synth soundscapes of Porter Robinson and Synthwave music, he decided to pursue a degree in Music & Technology at Stevens. Last year, he won the 2019 Ducks on Display with another one of his passions; Yoyoing. This year, he chose to use Yoyoing to fully establish his musical vision in one act. This is Obselysium.
The dance club on campus. We do every type of dance and we welcome everyone.
